Tim Corbett, Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery
Tim Corbett has been in the cemetery industry for over 25 years. He previously worked for Inglewood Park Cemetery in LA. He is currently President of Archdiocesan Catholic Cemeteries and Mortuaries here in Portland. He recently built and developed a Funeral Home business for the Archdiocese on the grounds of one of their two Portland area cemeteries. Tim was also the Public Works Director for the City of Milwaukie in the early 90’s which gives him a unique perspective on coordinating emergencies with government agencies. Tim holds a BS in Horticulture from Oregon State University and a Masters in Business Administration from Portland State University.
Chad Dresselhaus, Oregon Mortuary & Cemetery Board
Chad Dresselhaus is the Education & Compliance Program Manager for the Oregon Mortuary & Cemetery Board (OMCB). Before becoming Board staff, he served as an OMCB Board Member and was elected Vice President. He has worked for a preneed/endowment care trust administration company, a law firm, and an alternative high school. Prior to these jobs, he served in the United States Navy onboard an aircraft carrier during Operation Southern Watch. Chad received a BA in Writing/Literature and a Master of Arts in Teaching from George Fox University.
Rachel Fox, Skyline Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home General Manager
Rachel Fox is the General Manager for Skyline Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in NW Portland. Skyline Memorial is a 65 acre memorial park adjacent to Forest Park and was established in 1952. Prior to joining the Dignity Memorial network Rachel served as the Historic Cemeteries Program Manager for Metro Regional Government and managed 14 cemeteries spread out through Multnomah County. Rachel obtained her degree in Spanish and Latin American Studies from Western Michigan University. Rachel resides in southeast Portland with her husband Steve and three children, Emma, Chloe and Manuel. Together they enjoy traveling in Central America and camping in the Northwest.
Eugene Gray, Oregon State Medical Examiner’s Office
I am currently the Forensic Administrator for the Oregon State Medical Examiner’s Office. My duties are to supervise non-medical and investigative operations for the State Medical Examiner’s Office. Prior to my current position, I was a Police Officer, Medicolegal Death Investigator (Deputy Medical Examiner), part time for Washington County and full time for Multnomah County. Before this, I was a Paramedic in the field for Metro West Ambulance. While I was certified as a paramedic for 14 years, my full-time field experience was for 10 years. When I left Metro West Ambulance, my position was a shift supervisor. I also have previous experience as a 911 dispatcher, Reserve and Regular Police Office and a Volunteer Firefighter. I am a veteran member of Disaster Mortuary Operational Response Team under National Disaster Medical Systems. I have extensive experience in providing assistance during natural and man-made disasters since 1997, including WDM, hurricanes and airplane incidents. Due to my previous experience, I was asked by the Department of Oregon State Police to become an instructor to train sworn staff in Emergency Medical Services. I have also been an instructor for the Department of Public Safety Standards and Training for death investigation.
Lyndsay Kooistra, LaPorte Insurance
Lyndsay joined LaPorte with an extensive background as a marketing professional with some of the top carriers in the insurance industry. Lyndsay’s passion for customer service, building relationships and finding solutions to her client’s needs made her a perfect fit for LaPorte. Education is also important to Lyndsay, she has earned her CIC designation, along with serving on the Education Committee of the Certified Insurance Counselor for the State of Oregon. Lyndsay is Chair of the Young Agents Committee for the IIABO and on the board. She participates in Junior League of Portland and is on the Marketing & Communications Committee (MarCom). In Lyndsay’s free time she enjoys volunteering, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
Jeff Musgrove, OFDA President, Musgrove Family Mortuary and Cemetery
Jeff is the President of the Oregon Funeral Directors Association,
Oregon’s Policy Board Representative to the National Funeral Directors Association, and serves on the Board of Directors for the Funeral Service Agency and Lions VisionGift. He is Co-Owner of West Lawn Memorial Park, Lane Memorial Gardens, Springfield Memorial Gardens, and several funeral homes in Lane County. He is a former member of DMORT, the Disaster Mortuary Operational Response Team and in that capacity responded to the 9/11 terrorist attack in New York City and to identification efforts in Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina.
Thomas D. Woodworth, PE, Vice President Development, Carrier Mausoleums Construction U.S.A., Inc.
Thomas D. Woodworth is Vice President of Development for Carrier Mausoleums Construction U.S.A. Inc. He holds a BA degree in Economics (1976) from Willamette University in Salem, OR and a BS degree in Civil Engineering (1979) from Oregon State University and is a professional engineer in fifteen states. He has been involved in hundreds of mausoleum and columbarium projects in his thirty-eight years in the industry. He has also consulted on various design and construction issues related to mausoleums and columbariums. In addition, he is President of the Board of Trustees of River View Cemetery in Portland, Oregon.
